Persistent damp is very rarely just a problem with the wall it appears on. In most cases it originates outside the building, in failed pointing, damaged rendering, blocked guttering, or a compromised damp-proof course, and only shows up internally once moisture has already worked its way through the structure. We start every investigation at the source, tracing penetration back through the building fabric rather than simply treating the symptom on the interior wall.

This covers diagnosis of rising and penetrating damp, chimney and brickwork repointing, exterior rendering, guttering and drainage repairs, and remedial timber work where damp has caused decay. Diagnosis is grounded in building surveying as well as architectural training, not a generic checklist, and any recommended work is scoped clearly before it begins.
